There really is a mean bone in his body!!

Everyone who knows Kyle thinks he is innocent...Oh that Sweet Kyle...he never does anything wrong!! People often wonder how we ended up together...Him being the sweet/funny one and I being the grumpy/hateful one...Well, to all those people....He really does have a Mean Bone!

There is a girl at work who Kyle enjoys picking on. She is from Boston (and she really does have that accent) and she is short. Kyle calls her Pork Chop, Midget, etc... and makes fun of how she talks and he just enjoys giving her a hard time. Well, her last day of work is tomorrow. She is going to work at Lexington Hospital and Kyle has been pondering a way to really get her! Well, I think he did pretty well with this joke!!

If you know Kyle, he giggles over everything so I have no idea how he pulled this off but he really got her good!! He called up to work and asked for her to be paged. Once she answered the phone, he said, "Yes, Elizabeth Underwood this is Dan Goodrich from Lexington Memorial Hospital and we have decided that we are not going to be filling that position. I am very sorry." She was really believing it...He had her going good but then she said, "Who is this again?" and Kyle couldn't remember and he giggled....So of course, she figured it out!! :)

I know it was a mean joke but she took it well and I am really surprised that he had her going as long as he did!!

Sir Hiss is his name

The other day as I was dusting Logan's room, I caught something moving out of the corner of my eye. So I looked over to his dresser and I let out the deadliest scream ever! During this scream, Logan comes running up the hallway and I can hear him laughing and saying (to his dad), "I think she saw my new pet!" There was an aquarium on top of his dresser and it was the home of his "new pet"... A SNAKE!!

Logan looked at me with those big, innocent Brown eyes and said, "He is my new pet. Sir Hiss is his name. And Nana and Papa let me bring him home!" All I could mumble was..."Thanks Nana!!" I honestly HATE snakes! They give me the creeps! I don't care if it is little/big, poisonous/non-poisonous, black/green...I don't like them!

Bella (our cat) loves to knock things off from where they belong. So I asked Kyle if that aquarium could easily be knocked off by Bella and he just grinned and said "I doubt it (then he laughed)." Also, the lid doesn't fasten tightly enough on there, so if she knocks it off, out will come Sir Hiss!! I told them both that if that snake got out...They would be there to find it!! Logan told me that if he were to bite me, it would be just a little sting (as he is pinching me to demonstrate) and that I wouldn't die!! Words from a 9 year old can be so reassuring sometimes (LOL)!!

Oh the joys of Motherhood...Especially to a boy....and to a boy that his Nana would give him anything!!

~Nana and Papa are away on vacation and I am watching over their cat....Wouldn't a great welcome home gift be Sir Hiss?!?

Party + Girlfriends + Money = Free Jewelry for Me!!

If you know me, you know I love to party!! Jewelry parties that is :). I can never ever get enough of rings, bracelets and necklaces...I mean, what girl wouldn't want all the jewelry?!? My sister-in-law is getting started with Premiere Designs Jewelry so I decided to help her out by throwing a party. I know that everyone thinks I have a billion parties (mom and Christy) but I only do them to help someone out. Plus why not have a party?? I mean you get 30% of the sales in FREE stuff plus it's so easy!

So last night I invited friends over and we partied!! I enjoyed having everyone over and lots of them have never been to my house so I got to show them around. I was really excited for the party but more excited to show my house. By the way, if you are reading this...WE LOVE COMPANY...so come over anytime!! Really....anytime :) But anyways, last night I had a great turn-out and I ended up with $240.00 in FREE stuff!! I can't wait to get all of it! Kyle doesn't mind me having these parties because it's less money he has to spend on jewelry for me!

Thanks to everyone who came and bought so that I could be a happy *bling bling* kinda girl :)

What's that I see?....

Could it be 2 trophies for the Spring Soccer Champ? YES it is!! Logan's team, Red Rockets, won the 4th-6th grade championship game yesterday!! The game yesterday was unbelievable! Those kids played their hearts out and both deserved that win...Great Job to the Black Knights and the Red Rockets...Great sportsmanship and Great teamwork!!

I am so glad that I decided to take the day off at 3:00...I don't think I would have been able to leave early to go back to work during this game. It was so intense! These kids were fighting for this win. Logan got to start, and to me, that is very impressive. After a few minutes of neither team scoring, my little man dribbled around and SCORED!! He (and I) was on Cloud 9!

Like, I said before, this game was so intense! It went into double overtime....Yes, Double Overtime!! Luckily the Red Rockets got that last shot in and they are now the CHAMPS!! Way to go Red Rockets!!!!! But great job Black Knights...it was a great game and you played unbelievable!!

~I am one proud Soccer Momma!!~ He is the only kid in the school with 2 Spring Soccer Champ trophies!!

C-H-A-M-P-I-O-N-S-H-I-P G-A-M-E

Well, Logan played his last Spring Soccer game for his Light Blue Jets team (1st-3rd graders) yesterday. I am so glad that the rain held off so we could enjoy this last game. He has been so excited to play this game. The Jets were undefeated all year and they were going against a very good team yesterday. Yellow Bombers also have a boy that plays so well that they have moved him up to the older teams as well. Brandon is in Logan's class and they are friends but they like to compete!! So yesterday during the game, it was no different!!

I am so happy that my work allows me to use my lunch time to make it to these games! Although yesterday, I didn't get to finish watching the game because I had to get back and it took longer than normal. It was so hard for me to leave but I kept Kyle on the phone so I could hear all the action...I know, that's sad, but I love to watch my boy play!!

The first half, Logan got to play on offense and Brandon was the goalie (Brandon is under the same rule as Logan...Can't play to his full ability). Logan scored 1 in the 1st half...score was 2-1 (Jets winning) and the game was so intense!!
Second half, Logan was put on defense and Brandon was then allowed to play offense. Logan was so ready for him and was going to stop him from scoring!! I then had to leave :(.....But the final score was 3-2 with the JETS WINNING!!!

So, Logan's team is undefeated still and now they are the CHAMPS!! ~He will have another championship game on Thursday (4th-6th graders)!

Because I really don't want to sit out there in the rain!! But anyways....GO BLUE JETS!!! Score big and win the championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

April 10, 2001 gave me the title "Momma"....

My world was turned upside down when I was 17 and I heard the words...YOU ARE PREGNANT but to this day, I couldn't have asked for a better earthquake! I was as scared as any normal 17 year old would be...I mean I did have to call and tell my mother over the phone. That's not exactly how I had my life planned out, but wait, I am not the one that decides and plans my future. God had a whole different chapter wrote for Amanda Koonts! Trust me, it was a very scary situation but I had the best support group. My parents were very supportive and so was everyone else in my family and church. I knew that I did wrong and I admitted my sin and asked for forgiveness. I believe that God forgave me and He blessed me with that support group and then blessed me with a healthy baby boy!

Logan has been more than just a son to me. He was (is) a blessing from God! I loved and cared for him more than I would have ever thought I could. I put aside everything to be there for him. He was my world and I was blessed to be his mother. I had grown up being around babies and kids all my life with my mom being a babysitter. And I took time to care for them and baby them, but nothing would have ever prepared me for the "growing up" task that was now my obligation. I do believe that caring for Logan came very natural to me.

Nine years ago on April 10, 2001 at 9:10pm, my life was WONDERFULLY changed and I became a mother!! No greater gift could ever be given to me! I am so blessed to be Samuel Logan Koonts' mother! Thank you Lord for entrusting your precious angel to me.

I feel as though I am a good mother. I had a wonderful, christian example of what a mother should be. I am very fortunate to have a Godly mother who only wanted the best for my sister and I. Thank you Mom for loving us, and for molding us into the women that we are. We have you to thank for everything. I only hope that one day Logan will be as proud of me as I am of you. Thank you Mom for not turning your back on me when I made that mistake but instead you loved me and showed me forgiveness. You are my inspiration and I admire you more than you will ever know.

~Happy Mother's Day!~ I am so blessed to be a mother......
